Dr. Joel C. Edgar is a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Dr. Edgar is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Greater Houston Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association. He has had extensive continuing education in the placement and restorations of dental implants, same-day CEREC crowns and veneers, endodontic therapy, and oral appliance therapy for Sleep Apnea therapy.
Dr. Edgar and his wife of eleven years have a 5-year-old daughter and two-year-old son. As a family man, he also continues his tradition of being an active and involved community member. In the past, Dr. Edgar has served as an assistant youth leader and played bass guitar for his local church. He also volunteered as a Young Life leader and coached a high school Ultimate Frisbee team.
When not serving patients, Dr. Edgar enjoys all things to do with fitness and sports, including playing ultimate frisbee on the weekends, golf, and basketball. He enjoys hunting with his dad and brother and is an avid reader.
