The Advanced Dentistry of Spring's mission is to deliver the best modern dentistry possible in a caring and comfortable environment. The best thing about our dental technology selections is that they achieve both goals at the same time!
Drs. Glass and Edgar have demonstrated a dedication to staying on the leading edge of dental breakthroughs for many years. For example, our Spring, TX dental office has been using same-day CEREC dental crown technology for a decade and has built up unparalleled experience with the process. We can use the machine in ways that many dentists aren't even aware of. So if you're looking for an excellent same-day dental restoration, we are a solid choice.
To learn more about how we use specific technologies in our dental practice in both diagnosis and procedures, we encourage you to explore the information below.
Root canals get a bad rap in popular culture, which is inherently unhelpful if you need root canal therapy. Yet, this procedure is vital in treating an inner tooth infection that might ruin your tooth. Dr. Glass and his team are dedicated to healing the root canal’s bad reputation by performing them most efficiently and comfortably as possible. One item that fulfills that goal is our rotary endodontic tool.
When we treat your inner tooth, we need to remove all infected pulp and other tissues because even a trace of bacteria can reignite an infection and render the procedure useless. But we can effectively scour those thin root canal passages through rotary endodontics. The tool comes with a flexible tip that reaches deep into your jawbone. As this tip rotates, it removes all damaged tissue with minimal pain and discomfort. Rotary endodontics enables the Advanced Dentistry of Spring team to complete root canal therapy more quickly and with better treatment outcomes.

As part of many restorative dental procedures, our dental team must take an impression of your teeth. This creates a mold that is the basis of the size and shape of your restoration. So while a first impression in the social sense may be general and vague, your dental impression needs to be specific and precise to maintain the beauty and functionality of your smile.
The problem with conventional impressions is that they rely on a medium called alginate to make a physical impression, with all the disadvantages of a film x-ray. But at Advanced Dentistry of Spring, our team offers a digital impression process with the Cadent iTero™ unit. This tool uses precise intraoral scanning technology to create a digital file containing all the information needed to fabricate dental restorations like crowns, veneers, and clear aligners.
When we make your dental impression digitally, you will enjoy the following benefits:
Our iTero Intra-oral scanners and the digital impressions they produce create a valuable impression of your mouth that our dental team may easily view, manipulate, and share.

Seeing is believing – few technologies embody this expression more than intraoral cameras. After all, dental x-rays and other images of your interior features seem abstract, but when you can get a first-hand view of your teeth in real time, it makes it much easier to demonstrate what our dentists see.
This marvelous device has a smooth wand that fits comfortably in your mouth. On the end of this wand is a tiny video camera that shows close-up images of your mouth from the inside. This camera sends live images to a chairside monitor so we can offer the details that indicate issues and show you where your teeth are in good condition. You then become an active participant in each dental decision.

In the dentistry of the past, some treatments inevitably required several visits. This was especially true with dental restorations like porcelain crowns and veneers. The process started with your dentist’s impression of your tooth, which we would send to an outside dental lab. Then, while you waited for your final restoration, your dentist would use a temporary version. Finally, after a couple of weeks, you’d return to our Spring, TX dental office, and we would place your final restoration.
Today, the Advanced Dentistry of Spring team can eliminate that waiting period and the second visit with our new same-day dental crown technology. The technical name for our dental restorations in one visit is CEREC. This computer-aided design and milling device gives us the power to build permanent crowns and veneers in less than an hour.
To create the restoration, we start with our precision imaging technology to capture a digital model of your tooth. This information is instantly sent to the specialized CEREC design software. Then, our team can view your potential restoration and make minor adjustments.
Once we’ve completed the design, we send it to our CEREC milling machine, fabricating the new restoration from a block of high-grade ceramic material. Then, we check the final product and bond it to the foundation left by the tooth to be restored.
By removing messy impressions and problematic temporaries, the CEREC system helps repair a damaged tooth in one visit with a long-lasting and aesthetic alternative to conventional lab-made options.
